Korteweg de Vries (KdV) equation is a veryimportant and fundamental equation in the theory of integrable system. KdVequation has widely physical applications, e.g., in water wave, inhydromagnetic wave. In this talk, we will give a brief review on KdV equationand soliton.

报告人简介：

上海交通大学数学科学学院长聘教授。学术研究方向是可积系统理论和应用。在可积系统的若干重要问题研究上取得引人关注的创新性成果，在数学物理国际重要学术期刊，如PhysicaD，J. Diff. Eqs, J.Nonlinear Sci., Phys.Rev.E,Proceedings Roy. Soc.A, J. Phys. A, J.Math.Phys，发表90多篇研究论文。先后主持国家自然科学基金面上项目6项和上海市浦江人才计划项目。先后学术访问美国、西班牙、加拿大、巴西、日本、墨西哥的大学。现任J.NonlinearMath. Phys.期刊编委。
